Vital Edge
For organisations

Nobody takes a day off
for a stiff neck

They work around it. For months. It appears in no absence figure, no return-to-work form and no wellbeing dashboard, which is exactly why it goes unlooked-at until it becomes something that does show up.

Vital Edge is one specialist working one-to-one. Not a chair in a lobby and fifteen minutes a head: a proper assessment and proper treatment, for the people who actually need it, by the person who will still remember their shoulder next time.

Very good especially for fixing my frequent stiffness in the neck and upper back areas. Caused from both gym and working at the desk.

Two ways it works

He comes to you,
or they come to him

Which one fits depends on how many people, how senior, and whether you have a room with a door that shuts.

01

On-site treatment days

Jonathan brings the table to you and works through a booked schedule for the day.

A spare office, a meeting room, anywhere private with a door. Each person gets a real one-to-one appointment rather than a queue and a shoulder rub, which is the difference between staff feeling looked after and staff feeling processed.

  • One room, one day, a full schedule
  • Every appointment one-to-one with Jonathan
  • Invoiced to the organisation, not the individual
02

Executive recovery sessions

A small number of senior people, treated at the practice in Kingston.

For the case where the value sits with a handful of individuals rather than across a floor, and where being out of the building for an hour is the point rather than the problem. Same room, same treatment, same person as every private client.

  • At Crescent Road, Kingston upon Thames
  • Named individuals, booked ahead
  • Invoiced to the organisation

Rates, what a day covers and the insurance position are set by Jonathan directly: these are quoted per organisation rather than published, in the same way the wider therapies are.

Which of the two it is, and what it costs, are the same conversation: he will want to know how many people and whether you have a room before quoting either.

The Cover

One day does not
reach a floor

Six sizes, and the honest answer changes shape between them rather than just getting bigger. Tell it your headcount and it will tell you what a day actually covers.

Take the commonest case, which is a department of twenty-five to fifty. Nobody is covering fifty people one-to-one in a day. What a day does at this size is take the handful who are already struggling and deal with them properly.

So the shape is

That is the offer at this size, and it is worth saying plainly before anybody signs anything: this is not a staff-wide benefit, it is a specialist for the people who need one.

With no room it becomes named referrals into Kingston, which is a smaller programme but not a worse one.

Why the numbers are small

Roughly four sessions a day is the practice's own published rate, and it is what one-to-one at sixty or ninety minutes costs in time. An on-site day may hold more than a clinic day does, but that is Jonathan's figure to give rather than a number to guess at.

What to say first

Headcount, whether there is a room, and a week you have in mind. Those three answers are what turns an enquiry into a quote instead of a second email.

The desk case

It is not effort
that does it

Sustained position, eight hours at a time, is a different load from a heavy week in the gym, and a quieter one. It builds slowly enough that nobody notices until something specific starts hurting.

Neck and upper back
Holding a head forward of the shoulders all day. The most common single complaint in the review set.
Hips and lower back
Sitting shortens what should lengthen. It usually presents somewhere else entirely, which is why it gets chased rather than fixed.
Shoulders and forearms
Small repeated ranges, thousands of times a day, in a position nobody chose deliberately.
Availability, honestly

The week is already five clinic days across two sites. An on-site day is not a spare day: it is a clinic day that does not happen.

That is the whole constraint, and it is why this is not a service that scales. There is one therapist, and a day at your offices is a day one of the two clinics is closed. Worth knowing before you plan around it, and worth asking early if you have a date in mind.

If you already have a week in mind, that is the thing to say first: the clinic week is already five clinic days across two sites, and the date is the part that runs out.

Who treats you

Same hands.
Same understanding.
Every session.

It is me every session, so you explain it once and I see what has changed. The first ten minutes go on working out whether this is soft tissue at all, and if it isn't, I'll say so and tell you who to see.

I don’t sell sessions. I sell outcomes.
